Day 1

Arrive in Syria: Transfer to your hotel in the old town of Damascus for the start of your Syria tour.

Day 2

Damascus: Spend the day taking in the many sites that the beautiful city of Damascus has to offer including the National Museum, the souk of Takiyya as- Suleimaniya and the Azem Palace.

Day 3

Magnificent Palmyra: An early morning departure from Damascus northeast towards one of the most renowned archaeological sites in the world: Palmyra.

Day 4

Palmyra - Crac des Chevaliers - Maaloula - Damascus: Visit the impressive crusader castle Crac des Chevaliers. This wonderful castle is steeped in history and you will have ample time to explore. In the afternoon head back to Damascus via Maaloula, one of the last remaining places in the world where Aramaic is still spoken.

Day 5

Depart: Transfer to the airport for an early morning flight back to the UK, and the end of your short break in Syria.

Accommodation

Accommodation on the tours is in 4* hotels or equivalent. We use the smaller boutique hotels in both Damascus and Aleppo.

Transport

Transport is by private, air-conditioned mini-bus.

Weather

Spring and Autumn are the most pleasant times to travel in Syria. The summer is hot and winter can be cold in some areas of the country. Please contact us for more detailed weather information.
