Day 1![]() Arrival in Syria: Transfer to your hotel in the old city of Damascus for the start of your tour of Syria. Day 2![]() Damascus: Spend the first day proper of your tour of Syria taking in the many sites that the beautiful city of Damascus has to offer, including the National Museum, the souk of Takiyya as-Suleimaniyya, and the Azem Palace. Day 3![]() Damascus – Bosra – Damascus: Day three of your tour takes you to Bosra, which is located in one of Syria’s most barren regions. Bosra houses one of the best-preserved Roman theatres in existence today. Day 4![]() Magnificent Palmyra: Spend day four of your Syria tour discovering one of the most renowned archaeological sites in the world: Palmyra. Day 5Palmyra – Qasr Al Heer Ash Sharqi – Deir Ez Zoor: Day five of your tour of Syria sees you journeying westwards to Deir Ezzor, which lies on the banks of the Euphrates River, via the superb desert palace, Qasr Al Heer Ash Sharqi. Day 6![]() Deir Ezzor – Jabar Castle – Aleppo: Day six sees you visiting the Abbassid Jabar Castle, before journeying eastwards to the atmospheric and vibrant city of Aleppo. Day 7![]() Aleppo: Spend the day taking in the sites of the bustling city of Aleppo. Visit the citadel, the Grand Mosque, the caravanserais known as khans, and the old covered souqs of Aleppo, at twelve kilometers, the longest covered souqs in the world. Day 8![]() Aleppo – St Simeon – Aleppo: On the morning of day eight of your Syria tour, we visit the beautiful church of St Simeon, before returning to Aleppo to spend the afternoon at your leisure. Day 9![]() Aleppo – Dead Cities – Saladin's Castle - Lattakia: Today we continue our tour of Syria with a visit to the Dead Cities of Al Bara and Serjilla, before continuing on to Saladin's Castle and Lattakia for the night. Day 10![]() Lattakia – Ugarit – Apamea – Hama: Day ten of our tour takes us to Apamea, via Ugarit, the reputed birthplace of the modern alphabet. Apamea itself was founded in the 3rd century BC and is one of Syria’s unmissable sites. Day 11![]() Hama – Crac des Chevaliers: In the morning we visit the water wheels of Hama, before moving in the afternoon to the impressive crusader castle, Crac des Chevaliers. This wonderful castle is steeped in history and you will have ample time to explore. Day 12![]() Crac des Chevaliers – Maaloula – Damascus: Day twelve of our Syria tour sees us returning to Damascus via the enchanting village of Maaloula, where the inhabitants still speak an ancient form of Aramaic. Day 13![]() Damascus: Today, the penultimate day of your tour of Syria, you will continue your tour of the sites of Damascus, which will include a visit to the beautiful Umayyad Mosque, the fourth holiest mosque in Islam and the reputed resting place of the head of John the Baptist. Day 14![]() Departure from Syria: Today, we transfer to Damascus International Airport for the return flight to the UK, and the end of our tour of Syria.
