Day 1

Arrive Amman airport: Arrival Amman Airport in Jordan. Transfer to the hotel and overnight.

Day 2

Amman city tour - Dead Sea - Petra: Visit the city sites in Amman before continuing to the Dead Sea for an afternoon of relaxing and bathing. Arrive Petra in the evening.

Day 3

Full day at Petra: Explore Petra including the Roman Theatre, the royal tombs and the monastery.

Day 4

Petra – Wadi Rum – Madaba – Mont Nebo – Amman: Explore the desert wilderness of Wadi Rum. Drive up to Mount Nebo (the alleged burial place of Mosses) to enjoy the panoramic view of the Jordan valley, the Dead Sea. Continue back to Amman and overnight.

Day 5

Amman - Jerash - Bosra - Damascus: Visit the ancient Roman city of Jerash and cross the border into Syria to visit Bosra. In the afternoon drive on to Damascus, and overnight.

Day 6

Damascus: Explore Damascus, the oldest inhabited capital in the world.

Day 7

Damascus - Krac de Chevaliers - Hama - Apamea - Aleppo: Today visit the crusader castle of Krac de Chevaliers then onto Hama to see the famous antique waterwheels. Continue north towards Aleppo.

Day 8

Aleppo: Visit the citadel of Aleppo, The Grand Mosque, the Caravansaries known as Khans, and the old covered souks of Aleppo - the longest covered souks in the world (12 km).

Day 9

Aleppo: Spend the morning visiting the Monastery of St Simeon the stylite, who spent 40 years in prayer and meditation on top of a pillar. Drive back to Aleppo for afternoon of leisure.

Day 10

Aleppo - Palmyra: Drive east towards Palmyra, one of the greatest trading posts on the antique Silk Road.

Day 11

Palmyra - Maaloula - Sednaya - Damascus: Drive back towards Damascus via the Anti-Lebanon Mountains to Maaloula village, where people still speak Aramaic. Visit the church of St. Tekla and the church of St. Serkis. Head back to Damascus.

Day 12

Damascus: Visit Straight Street and the Christian quarter: St Anannais Chapel & St. Paul's window, Bab Sharqi & Bab Touma.

Day 13

Departure Damascus Airport: Depart with BMI for the flight home.
