Day 1

Arrival in Syria: Transfer to your hotel in the old town of Damascus.

Day 2

Damascus: Spend the day taking in the many sites that the beautiful city of Damascus has to offer including the National Museum, the souk of Takiyya as-Suleimaniya and the Azem Palace.

Day 3

Ma’aloula – Palmyra: Drive north to the picturesque village of Ma’aloula perched precariously on the edge of a hillside, you then continue your journey on to Palmyra.

Day 4

Magnificent Palmyra: A full day sightseeing at one of the most renowned archaeological sites in the world: Palmyra. Then drive north to Aleppo, Syria’s second largest city.

Day 5

Aleppo: Spend the day taking in the sites of this bustling city. Visit the citadel, The Grand Mosque, the Caravansaries known as Khans, and the old covered souks of Aleppo - the longest covered souks in the world (12 km).

Day 6

Church of St Simeon, Outside Aleppo, Syria

St Simeon - Dead Cities – Hama: This morning travel to the beautiful church of St Simeon outside Aleppo. In the early afternoon drive south to Syria’s Dead Cities, a series of ancient ghost towns which date back to Byzantine times.

Day 7

Hama – Crac des Chevaliers – St. George Monastery – Crac: This morning visit the famous antique waterwheels of Hama. Then continue on to visit the crusader castle of Crac de Chevaliers.

Day 8

St John the Baptist's Church, Jbail (Byblos), Lebanon

Crac – Tripoli – Byblos – Beirut: This morning depart for Lebanon, first stop will be Tripoli, explore the wonderful sites this city has to offer and then continue south to Byblos. Byblos is said to be one of the oldest towns in the world today dating back at least 9000 years. In the late afternoon drive on to Beirut.

Day 9

Beirut - Ksara Winery – Baalbeck – Anjar – Beirut: Visit the legendary site of Baalbeck, with its majestic Acropolis. Continue on to the walled city of Anjar also located in the Beqaa Valley. Transfer back to Beirut for overnight.

Day 10

Sidon - Tyre - Beirut: Today you will have the opportunity to visit the wonderful coastal towns of Sidon and Tyre. Visit Sidon's sea castle and wander through the towns colourful souk. In the afternoon continue south to Tyre. In the early evening transfer back to Beirut for your last night in Lebanon.

Departure: Transfer to Beirut airport for departure
